It's worth your time to learn how to write good prompts so your clips come out great. We call it "prompt engineering" β and we want every one of your clips to be awesome. A few tips:
Start with 4,000 free Juice to try generation. Song analysis, scripts, and shot planning are free. Juice is spent on images and video clips.
Start with a 30-second project. How far your Juice goes depends on the models, clip lengths, shot count, and regenerations. Check the estimated cost before generating; the free balance does not guarantee a finished video or a fixed number of shots.
You can preview your results in PulseJet. Downloads and sharing require a purchase. If you need more Juice to finish generation, you can buy a pack or subscription and continue your existing project.
| Model | Quality | Credits / second |
|---|---|---|
| LTX Video | β Dev Only | 20 |
| Wan Video | ββ Good | 25 |
| Kling Standard | βββ Great | 50 |
| Kling Pro | ββββ Cinematic | 90 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | ββββ Cinematic | 100 |
| Runway | ββββ Cinematic | 250 |
You're charged for the seconds of video we actually buy, so a fast cut costs less than a long, lingering one. Clips come back in blocks β about 5 seconds on most models, 4 on Veo 3.1 Fast β and a shot shorter than a block still costs the whole block, which on Veo 3.1 Fastworks out to 400 credits.
Credits are the main currency on PulseJet β think of it like a coin-operated machine. You can get them two ways:
Credits work the same regardless of how you bought them. Since video is billed by the second, both levers are yours: keep a close eye on your balance, watch out for the pricier models, and preview on a cheaper one before you go full bore on your final videos.
AI video generation is not free for us either β each shot kicks off a real call to an external AI model and we pay the model provider whether the output is great or unusable. That's why credits work the way they do: the moment you tap Generate, the credits leave your balance.
What this means for you:
We can't refund credits spent on AI generation that didn't meet your expectations β see the next FAQ for why. Spend them like you'd spend cash.
Short answer: no β AI output is non-refundable.
AI video generation is inherently experimental. Two identical prompts can produce very different results, and the same prompt can produce a stunning shot on one model and a strange one on another. We pay our AI model providers per generation whether you love the output or not, so credits spent on generation are non-refundable β same as any other AI tool you might use (Midjourney, Runway, etc.).
What IS refundable:
If a single shot comes out poorly, you can retry it (it costs credits but often nails it on the second try with a tweaked prompt). If the whole video disappoints, we're sorry, but the credits are gone the same way the energy bill is gone after you cook a meal that didn't turn out.
AI video models are everything when it comes to the quality and style of your clips. Leading models include Kling, Runway, and Google VEO β each one was trained on different videos, so each has its own distinct style.
Price usually correlates with quality (higher price = higher quality) but not always β and more expensive models burn more credits per shot.
Our tip: start with a cheaper model while you're dialing in your prompts, then switch to a premium model once you're confident. That way you spend big credits only on keepers.
PulseJet is built on top of cutting-edge AI video models (Kling, Runway, Google Veo, and others). These models are impressive but inconsistent β the same prompt can produce a stunning shot on one run and a strange one on the next. That's the nature of AI generation in 2026.
What this means in practice:
We're iterating fast and the models are getting better every month. If you have a specific shot that's consistently disappointing, tell us β that feedback shapes our prompt engineering and model defaults.
