VJ Loops
FAQ

Six straight answers for DJs, VJs, art cars, and theme camps building an Axis Mundi-inspired visual world.

01

What are the best VJ loops for Burning Man 2026?

The best packs have a seamless master, bold silhouettes, and imagery that stays readable on huge LED walls through dust, distance, and darkness. For 2026, Axis Mundi-inspired worlds (cosmic pillars, world trees, portals, roots, sacred geometry, and celestial machinery) fit especially well. PulseJet offers 24 worlds so a set can evolve without feeling like one animation repeated all night.

02

What is the Axis Mundi theme?

Axis Mundi means the “center of the world”: a symbolic line connecting earth, sky, and the underworld. It appears across cultures as a world tree, sacred mountain, pillar, ladder, temple, or cosmic spine. For visual artists, it is a rich invitation to explore connection, transformation, vertical movement, portals, roots, ritual, and the point around which an entire imagined universe turns.

03

Can I use these visuals in Resolume?

Yes, DXV3 is the recommended format for demanding Resolume sets because it is decoded efficiently on the GPU, especially when several layers are playing together. PulseJet exports a seamless 1080p H.264 master plus silent 1080p source shots for live remixing. Resolume can play those files directly, and the package includes simple instructions for converting them to DXV3 with the free Resolume Alley utility.

04

Are these VJ loops suitable for art cars and theme camps?

Yes. The seamless master is built for continuous playback on art cars, camp stages, projection surfaces, and LED installations. Strong silhouettes and high-contrast motion help the visuals remain legible at scale, while the included source shots give a VJ extra material to remix. Every setup is different, so test the pack on the actual processor, mapping, brightness level, and playback computer before heading out.

05

Can DJs use these visuals without a dedicated VJ?

Absolutely. A DJ can load the loops into Resolume or another video playback tool, arrange a simple sequence, and let them cycle during the set. Because the clips are seamless and contain no audio, they can repeat without interrupting the music. A dedicated VJ adds live mixing and improvisation, but the pack is intentionally useful without one.

06

What resolution and format are the loops?

The finished master is exported at 1920×1080 in a 16:9 H.264 MP4 for broad playback compatibility. If you upload a track, its audio is included in that master; otherwise the master is silent. The Resolume package also contains silent 1080p H.264 source shots for remixing, plus guidance for converting the files to DXV3 in Resolume Alley for smoother multi-layer performance.
